2. Purpose and scope of data processing

As part of your participation in the online course, we process the following data in particular:

  • Name, email address, username

  • Course progress, attendance times, test results

  • e.g. Payment information (for paid courses via external payment providers), if applicable

  • voluntary information in your profile, in forums, or community features

The data will be processed exclusively for the purpose of conducting the course, tracking learning progress, providing course content, and communicating with you.

3. Legal basis

Processing is based on:

  • Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (performance of a contract)

  • Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent), insofar as you provide additional information or subscribe to newsletters

  • Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest), e.g. for technical provision and security

4. Tools used and processors

All service providers are contractually obliged to comply with data protection regulations through appropriate data processing agreements in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.

Some of our service providers or their sub-service providers may process data outside the EU (e.g., in the US). In such cases, the transfer is based on EU standard contractual clauses or certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

6. Storage period

Your data will only be stored for as long as is necessary for the course to be conducted. Your data will be deleted after the course has ended or after the statutory retention periods (e.g. for invoices) have expired.
